Designed to Support Better Sleep Prioritized Fat Burning!
Come on now, anyone who has experienced the fat loss and appetite modulating
results from the new over-the-top energy phenomenon Venom Hyperdrive 3.0 knows
the need for a Night-Time Formula that will continue to modulate fat oxidation,
yet support relaxation. You simply cannot stay wired 24/7. Sleep is possibly
one of the best natural tools for recovery we can maximize due to a very healthy
increase in GH release, IGF-1 conversion and a period where glycogen stores
can be replenished to a point of fueling tissue regeneration. Over half of our
natural daily GH secretion occurs while we sleep...and we can produce more.
In short, we heal the damage we did during the day best while we sleep and burn
fat for fuel (cool deal, huh?), if we can create the right environment.
For many years hard-core athletes have used prescription drugs like Clonidine
to increase nocturnal growth hormone release 200% and more. Though Clonidine
is prescribed for GH stimulation and induced relaxation/sleep has been well
noted. Though this has been reported as effective, it is dangerous as well.
The key to this GH releasing/relaxation action is triggering the central cholinergic
system, mainly through the presynaptic mechanisms.
Cortisol Promotes Fat Storage
Several hormones and hormone-like-substances trigger catabolism or muscle wasting.
Glucagon does so by setting into motion a series of metabolic events that result
in the release of fatty acids, amino acids, and glucose/glycogen from body tissues
to restore blood circulatory glucose and energy substrate levels. However, the
group we are most concerned with are called corticosteroids or glucocorticoids.
This is a group of steroids that originate at the adrenal cortex of the adrenal
glands (above your kidneys). The most commonly discussed hormone of this group
is cortisol. When a cortisol molecule merges with a muscle cell cortisol receptor-site,
it triggers the release of amino acids from the cell. That probably does not
sound like a big deal until you realize that these amino acids come from the
breaking down of the muscle cell proteins. This of course means all of that
hard earned lean mass tissue begins to waste away and become energy, heat or
toilet trash. Cortisol levels are elevated as a result of stress. Unfortunately,
the body views stress stimuli, such as increases in muscle tissue mass, training,
sickness, dieting and the spouse or semi-spouse in a bad mood, as reason to
increase circulatory cortisol levels. Cortisol production can also inhibit endogenous
GH and testosterone production while fueling pathways that allow fat accumulation.
Several studies have now validated that a main factor in fat storage (mostly
around the waist and upper thighs) is increased cortisol production. As a result,
the amount of fat we add to our waist daily can be favorably altered with a
little control. Naturally, relaxation and sleep are paramount, but decreasing
total cortisol production alone has a profound affect upon body composition.
Oxidative Phosphorylation Uncoupler
Normally, the mitochondria in our cells process do a process that converts
ADP (adenosine diphosphate) into ATP (adenosine Triphosphate). As a rule the
process is about 60% efficient, which means there is about 40% of the energy
wasted. Now keep in mind that this “energy” is made food stores
like fats, amino acids and glucose. When we exercise, this process accelerates
and raises our metabolic rate. (More calories are burned as a result) The process
is called oxidative phosphorylation. Since ATP is the high-energy chemical our
bodies utilize for intense training, recovery and heat production, anything
that compromises this process will make cellular mitochondria work harder and
expend more energy as heat. (Body temperature rises)
Some herbal extracts act as oxidative phosphorylation uncouplers. In doing
so they make the process only about 40% efficient by uncoupling a high energy
phosphate molecule from ATP and therefore turning ATP into ADP. To maintain
an adequate supply of ATP, the body must step-up production. As a result resting
metabolic rate is significantly increased and an incredible amount of calories
are burned. During this accelerated metabolic state, and due to the need for
ATP production, most of the calories come from fatty acids (adipose/fat tissue).
So little or no muscle is lost…with adequate protein intake and proper
GH modulation).
