Honestly, I have no idea what I bought, but it certainly was NOT beta-alanine. Prior to taking this stuff, I had used beta-alanine from other brands. I had used the cheap BA tablets by GNC, which are most likely shit to begin with because they're by GNC, and I had used those 27 gram protein dildos that contain 1.5 grams of BA also. Oh, and the Purple Wraath. All of those gave me all the effects one would expect from BA, from the increased range of reps to the signature tingling sensation all over my ears, scalp, and thighs. This stuff seemed like a great idea, because it was so cheap in bulk and I knew BA was a supplement that worked for me.
First day on it... nothing. None of the same effects I had gotten before. I figured maybe I had acclimated enough to the BA that I wouldn't get the tingling anymore (which does eventually happen), and that I also just had a bad workout. Next day, same thing. And the next day. By then, I was suspicious. So I loaded a shit ton of this crap into my pre-workout drink- probably at least 4 times what they say is the recommended amount for one dose- and still, no tingling or anything else that one would associate with BA. I was pissed, but still determined to see if it was me or the product. Next day, I took another 2 of those cheap shit GNC BA pills, and got all the good old effects that I should be getting from my BA...
Sorry for the long drawn out story, but I'm hoping I can save at least one of you guys from throwing away 38 dollars or whatever they're charging for this shit. Furthermore, I don't know who those other guys who reviewed this product are, but I suspect they're employees or reps of some sort for 1fast400 and bulknutrition. Even if this stuff was just weaker than all the other stuff I was taking, that mega dose would have at least given me something. Completely dissatisfied. Never using another product from this brand again. Never trusting reviews on this brand again, either. |
